Re: Tire Pressure

Look on the tire? The tire lists the max pressure for the tire, not the factory recomendation on what to inflate it too. Shit, your asking to fuck up the center of your tire and make the car handle and ride like shit with a fully inflated tire.

Look on the inside of the driver's side door to see what the factory says the stock sized tires should be inflated too. The manual also has this info.

Re: Tire Pressure

If her tire size is 205/55/16, max pressure usually is 45psi, so it's fine to keep it around 30 to 35psi.

That is the max tire pressure for that specific tire. If you inflate to that pressure you will have a very bumpy ride since the tire will not absorb any of the bumps and you will have premature tire wear. Why can you not understand that?

Re: Tire Pressure

jebus! It was mentionned earlier, when you open the drivers side door, there is a sticker with the VIN and all other handy info. Some info would be tire pressure (front and back)

And remember kids, when the tire is at the proper pressure, it will look under-inflated

PS....to those wanting to go by the number written on the tire, try it and then post another thread entitiled "rough ride, then bang!"

Re: Tire Pressure

Hey the rule of thumb is 32-35 if the drivers door does not specify. Im a tire bitch at pepboys and 90% of the cars we get in are between there.
