full paintjob

ok, i know the topic has been disscussed many times.... but im am looking for a FULL detail description of the painting process... here is the deal... someone has a car and wants to paint it... it already has full paint on it and he wants to change the color completely. Im looking for a step by step tutorial. What grit of sand paper to use... when to sand... how much to sand... h9ow many coats of primer... paint... pearl (if used).... and clear... im lookinf for a full and complete tutorial... thanks for your help finding one.

There are several books out there, read all of them. Also dont go cheap. In the paint world, you get what you pay for.

I wrote somewhat of a tutorial awhile back. Search for Candy Paint. If that doesnt work, search for Paint Process.

i read your tutorial but you missed a few details that i need to know... like how many coats of each layer i need to shoot... Thanks...

Thats the part that experience will tell you. After lots of experience you know when enough paint is enough, and when too much is too much.
