Oil Pressure Gauge "0" -- HELP!

Would appreciate anyone's feedback:
Have a 1997 Roder 6cyl 107,000miles --- reading the other posts my Rodeo is much like the others in that it is oil thursty. I reguarly change the Oil every 3,000 miles (owned since 26,000 miles).

Today my oil pressure gauge was a "0" - My Oil warning light comes on when the key is turned but shuts off when I start the engine. My dip stick is reading full --

It is good on Oil supply but pressure is my question. Any thoughts on what this is being caused by? Dealer type maintenance issue? Is there a way to tell if I actually have Oil Pressure (ie. the engine is not being damaged - or the old Rodeo is running low on pressure?)

Thanks

Re: Oil Pressure Gauge "0" -- HELP!

remove the oil pan clean the pickup tube and before reinstalling the pan be sure to do this use a pick to pull the screen down away from the oil pick up tube and start changing your oil more often always use the same kind of oil and always change your oil when the engine is hot
