Sticky accelerator pedal

My accelerator pedal on my '01 Tahoe started sticking slightly when pushing down at various positions. Really unnerving! I tried lubricating hinge points and linkages, but to no avail. Anyone else have this problem?

You probably have carbon build up on the throttle plate. Clean the throttle body, and plate with carburator cleaner, and it should be fine.
