1996 Tbird Overdrive Light Flashes
I have a 1996 Thunderbird with 110,000 miles on it and the overdrive light is flashing. So far the transmission is working the same as it has for the last few years -- no slipping, but the shifts are a more distinct than they were when the car was new. The light is real bright at night and I need to either fix the problem or disconnect the light. Any ideas on the transmission problem or how to pull the instrument cluster to pull the bulb out. This car is in good shape and it should be fixed correctly, but I do not want to rebuild the transmission when it running fine.

Re: 1996 Tbird Overdrive Light Flashes
Bring the car to aamco and have them run the codes to find out what's wrong. the OD light flashing is the "check engine" light of the transmission.
