Greddy type S - is this normal

when i shift I get that amazing type s "psssschew" and about 3 seconds after that i hear a little "ding". i am pretty sure I have it adjusted right...everyone that rides in my car is like WTF is that little "ding"...only hear it after the bov opens and it never my car never did that before installing the type S....how do i get rid of the ding or is it a characteristic of the type s?

ive seen one of a black talon with a naked chick in front of it like that, but even leaning over closer to the hood, vamt remember where though.

a ding huh... how hard do you have it set? some times when you have to set to hard the vacuum will pull it open but then its not strong enough to hold it open the whole time... so it shuts hard possibly causing the "ding" sound your talking about! try loosening it quite a bit and see if it still does it...

never heard a ding on mine, but was wondering when boosting and ya hear the psssh sound and ya suddenly let off the gas my car klunks, it feels like it does when you down shift without revving before placing it in the lower gear (if ya understand)

most likly your motor mounts hitting the holder... look at the motor mount by the timing belt... see if the rubber on the outside is wore... and you can see marks on the mount holder... its from the motor shifting so much... your front/rear motor mounts are probably shot, or are so gunna be shot!

umm dat no good...grrr always trying to save money and then it all goes away, but guess thats one of the rules of having a dsm
