Quiet (stock) tires

This forum is (quite rightly) made up of 2 major types of folks - the ones who want to modify/race their Accords, and ones like me that just want to keep the old bus running. This fits the second group, so all you racers - your comments might not apply.

What (stock) tires have you all found give a quiet ride? Currently I'm running B F Goodrich Advantage GT's at about 3 psi over "book" and I'm tired of the road noise. There's got to be something queter out there, but I cant try 'em all!

I just put on a set of BF Goodrich Touring T/A's 205.60.15 at 33psi on my 91 EX and I am very happy with them. I had some Bridgstone se 200's on before, and they were very noisy.

Thank you - that's the kind of thing I'm trying to find out.

Check out tirerack.com information on tires. Their testing includes road noise info.

Re: Quiet (stock) tires

That looks like a good site - I'll find out shich brands my friendly local dealer carries (and where they give me a discount!) and then look up the reviews. Thanks!

Re: Quiet (stock) tires

you should try following the book specs or going uder specs a little. the harder the tire the harder the ride ad noisier. use common since if you had a rock and drop it on the ground wouldnt it make noise.
