help: yellowing decals
i have some older models in my room where the decals are yellowed. i've read on here that exposing them to sunlight should help get rid of the yellowing (maybe this only applies to decals that are still on the backing sheet?) but it seems that the exposure to sunlight has actually caused them to yellow even more over time. is there anything i can do to make them "unyellow" again? and also anything to prevent this? thanks in advance.

Re: help: yellowing decals
Did you clear coat over them? Its likely that its the clear that is yellowing

Re: help: yellowing decals
if they yellowed on the car i think your stuck, but to prevent this, you should clear coat your models using automotive clear, that is uv resistant.
if you used testors clear that will cause yellowing in a few months! the sunlight thing works for decals still on the sheets |

can anyone point me to a good place to get automotive clear? also does anyone have any experience with future floor wax? do u know if future could prevent yellowing decals as well or not? thanks again! |

Re: help: yellowing decals
Future doesn't yellow but if you keep them in the sun... that can't be good for the paint or decals
