Engine wants to die at idle and during acceleration in 1st gear

Several weeks ago I noticed a hesitation during idle after the car had warmed up to operating temps. Today, after driving for 20 minutes, I turned her off and when restarted, she didn't want to run. Possible oxygen sensor? Clogged fuel injectors? Maybe the ignition coil? 1992 325i. HELP!

could be idle controll valve went bad , located under fuel rail. it keeps your idle stable

I live in Dallas Tx and we were just hit w/ allot of rain a week ago. My driveway was flooded (has the house was also) but the water was so high it wet the carpets in my E36. When I started my car the idle was real rough and it took a full of driving to get back to normal. I had the oil changed just incase should I have replaced the Idle valve also? Just wondering....

We have the same car, same year, same problem---it was the ignition coils...just under $1000 to fix, but well worth it, considering we got the car dirt cheap!

Remove the engine cover left side to access coils and make sure no water has got into spark plug ports under coils, this will cause loss of power and bad idle.
