your boost falls back because you are on stock turbos
stock turbos dont flow enough air to only hold about 10-12 psi to redline

Re: Peak And Hold Ebc?
hey hothsot, if that is true than my reason for the hesitation makes even more sense now. i have my boost controller set to hold 12-13psi to redline, by adjusting my gain. if i drop my gain and raise my boost, maybe i won't get the hesitation anymore.
why the hell didn't i think of that in the first place

Appreciated, but to maintain 10-12 psi on my mbc i have to set my boost at around 15-16psi to allow for the drop in boost, i.e for a fraction of a second the turbo's are spooling up to around 15-16psi which according to most theories is too much boost for our stock fuel system is this correct and dangerous?

yes, its dangerous to run that much boost on stock turbos, i would not go above 14.5 psi. If your having to run that much boost to hold 10-12 psi to redline, it means you have a boost leak somewhere, and it would be better to try to find the boost leak then try to overboost your turbos, because after 14 psi, the stock turbos generate a lot of heat which is bad. Youngvr4, i'm taking it you have an electronic boost controller. Gain is the setting to control how quick your wastegates react, which should be set at or around 5, maybe up to 7. Then raise the boost up by ratio or whatever your setting is.

Re: Peak And Hold Ebc?
yeah its a ebc, but this thing goes by percent. and i'm guessing 0-100, you mean to tell me i should have it on 5-7 percent?
and also when i raise the gain, it does seem to hold psi longer then when its turned down

do you have a peak hold function on yours? i think its there to hold the wastegate shut as long as possible (and not make any boost spikes at the same time)
not sure if thats its soul duty though

Re: Peak And Hold Ebc?
so when the wastegate is open it holds peak? or visa versa

i think when the wastegate opens its past peak hold because when it opens it lets out the exhaust gases so it doesnt produce more boost
