996 Gemballa Vs Enzo Vs Vanquish Vs Viper Venom

Here's a controversial question:

Which of the following would you choose, if u had the $$$$:

1 - Porsche 996 Gemballa (TT) -- German efficiency
2 - Enzo Ferrari - Italian design
3 - Aston Martin Vanquish - English pride
4 - 1998 Dodge Hennessey Viper Venom 600 GTS - American muscle

Re: An interesting poll

I'd have an Enzo.

The Gemballa is a 911, I see far too many 911's around, that it's just not special any more.

The Vanquish is nice, but still no Enzo

and Hennessey is a Con-man.

Re: An interesting poll

I'd got for the Aston. They're cushy, yet still quite fast and classy.

If I wanted more speed, I could always go to the Aston Martin Works Service in Newport Pagnell and let them wrench on it.

I've edited your tread title to be more descriptive

But anyway, I would of course take then Enzo first although just for cruizing around I'm sure the vanquish would make a better choice.

And as Jimster said Hennesy is a known crook. Too bad Lingenfelter donsn't do vipers.

The Enzo is so much more special than the others. It gets my vote.

Re: 996 Gemballa Vs Enzo Vs Vanquish Vs Viper Venom

gonna be a pain in the ass and say

the choice depends on what the car is gonna be used for.

me being the sensible car for all weather kinda guy, i'd go for the vanquish,
although the lack of a manual and in it's a place a known to be pain-in-the-backend-with-a-broken bottle-sideways semi-auto
is kinda off putting so maybe if i were at the aston martin showroom, i'd turn around and ask for a DB9 instead.

This being a car "enthousiast" forum, I thought I'd find more passionate drivers. Instead, I see many of you put so much emphasis on either sheer power or beautiful design. How about handling? How about 600 hp taken from a 3.6 litre 6 cyl engine? How about the best Porsche ever made?

Best Porsche ever made? you mean the Carrera GT, right?

Well the new Carrera GT is a good piece of machinery, but I still believe a Gemballa holds not only more power, but also a better reputation(prestige).

*** I think the GT outputs around 450hp. Technically, the best Porsche ever built is the GT1, but it is a race car.... ***

Ok, I was wrong, the GT has around 612 hp, but it still has a 5.7L V10 engine--very rough and dissapointing for Porsche!!

Wake up man, that's one of the finest engines in existence. Race bred and developing well over 100bhp/l. Before you tell me the Gemballa has over 100bhp/l, that particular engine is turbocharged whereas the CGT's is normally aspirated.

I dont mean to be condescending, but please read up about cars.
