Buying A New Hatch- Quetions...

i am hopefully going to be getting an '88 hatch tomorrow, it has a b16, intake, exhaust, shaved door handles, body kit, GSR wheels, alarm, nice stereo, and a full SI interior... all for 3 grand, best deal i have come across yet, but i still have about 500 bucks to toss into it, a friend of mine has a set of 350z seats he will sell me for 300, will they fit? i know i will have to do some custom work to make then stay in place, but will it be worth it? or should i spend it else where? and if i do get the seats, will anyone be interested in a set of SI seats? any and all replies are welcome, thanks in advance.

Re: Buying A New Hatch- Quetions...

for that price you can buy some racing seats. I dont think they are worth 300. I do interior work all the time at my shop for people and I usually allways get seats from the junk yard for $42 a set, more recently I'v gotten some Prelude Si seats into an S10 and some heated Audi seats into a ford escort. If you really like the seats then go for it, but they seam a little pricy to me.

for $300....I would re-wrap the SI seats in Tan/Black Leather and have Civic embroidered into the backs of them.

300 dollars for a set of brand new black 350z seats, too much? i think its cheap, but what i am wondering is, will they be too tall or too wide? has anyone ever seen these seats in a honda? and i don't APC nock-off racing seats, these seats are soooooo comefurtable(sp?), but to each his own, i guess...

Re: Buying A New Hatch- Quetions...

Easy to to find out is with a tape measure. It doesnt really matter how tall you go as long as it doesnt hit the roof, but I wouldnt go more than 3" wider or so without risking being too close to other stuff.

I just went and measured my 88 dx seats and they measure 21" wide at the widest (bottom of seat tward the front).
