13B 6-Port vs. SR20
Some of you might already know that Datsun 510s have 13B rotarys on them. You know, the first generation 13B 6-Port engines found on the first RX-7s. Well, is it possible to make that kind if 13B turbocharged? And can it beat a SR20 motor?

some of us might also know that the didnt come that way... Yes they are possible to turbo charge. And there are too many factors to say whether it will be faster than an sr20 (the god engine of ricers) |

Re: 13B 6-Port vs. SR20
I'm lost.... I thought he said he wanted to put in either a 13B or SR... now I'm starting to think I missunderstood something

Re: 13B 6-Port vs. SR20
The 510 already has a 13B from the first generation RX-7s. i was wondering if a turbo will fit in a first generation 13B? And if turbocharging it will beat a SR20?

Re: 13B 6-Port vs. SR20
give us the setup of both cars, what are the gear ratios? weight of the cars, are pilots good ?, what tires are they running? what size rim ? do you have compression numbers of both cars ? are you talking about an SR20E, an SR20DE or an SR20DET? is the 13b ported? running a big fat turbo? are the auxiliary blocked ? is the head of the sr ported too ? are the engines built ? is the 13b a carbed engine ? chassi stiffness stuff ? fuel setup ? what kind of exhaust, what boost? what tranny ? in what car is the SR20 ? an fwd NX ?? what kind of race ? what the fuck is wrong with you asking stupid questions that CANT be answered without a LOT of specification? what about weight distribution ? what about suspension ? what spring rate and shock specs are both car runings ? what camber/caster ? toes in/out ?on which track are you racing on?

There were however older datsuns that were eqiupeed with 10A (i think) from the factory. The first rx-7's had a 12A not 13B. Have fun with a turbo rotary in a 510, nothing fits stock or just bolts up. SR's are overrated, just get a KA for cheaper.
