Most Expensive Part You've Bought

Well what is the most expensive piece of equipment you've bought. I mean to start with a nice system its only about a grand to a grand&a half. how much have you spent, and why?

Re: Most Expensive Part You've Bought

so far, the Cadence

Alpine - $414
Kodas - $280
LP - $384
Brahma - $440 (when I order it in a couple weeks, for now: e12a - $295)
Cadence - $703
wiring - ~$250
deadening - $160

So the current setup is right around $2600
Then if you go into all the stuff I've bought for previous systems....I'm well into the $4-5000 range (I've only had 2.5 systems so far)

I don't even have an optima....
course I'll probably be getting one before too long

My setup has the ability to use over 2000rms, but you'd have to be deaf (literally) to ever be in the car with it turned up that high. With the magic 3 upgraded I don't even get any dimming when I really crank it up, but I have it tuned in a way where "really cranked up" is probably only using around 1000rms.

Re: Most Expensive Part You've Bought

Off of ebay. I think the seller was dynamicautosound or sumthin like that. It ended up being closer to 260 after shipping but came with a 1 year warranty. Also... I need a new alternator the yellow top is just holding me over until I save up enough money for one. Ill probably get a 200 amp alt. My stock alt is 130 amp so its better then most.

Re: Most Expensive Part You've Bought

I spent $350 for three Eclipse 12" subs minus the one I sold for $100. So I ended up paying $250 for two subs. Best deal ever! So far, the amp I'm going to buy for my subwoofers (replacing the MTX I currently have) from Eclipse is probably gonna be the most expensive part on my system, which I'm going to get around $400-500 (2000W peak, 1000W rms).
