Talking F1 = Best. Car. Ever.

I just finished watching the Fifth Gear Best Car's in the World. And lo and behold, the McLaren F1 was the best car ever. Tiff Needell drove a black LM and I'm not sure of the chassis number. The license plate was l3 mac. Maybe someone can offer some insight into this, and who was the owner who provided their car? But wow, listening to that engine.......whew. What a great car. Truly deserving of this title.

I watched the same show also. That was real good footage of the F1. The one that he drove wasn't a black LM. It is a dark grey roadcar version but it just has the high downforce kit on it. I think the chassis number is #002, but someone can correct me on that. By the way, the LM is louder and sounds even better.

For the longest time, we had speculated that it was chassis #002, however, recently it was confirmed that the car is #020. It is owned by Tony Smith, the manager for the band Genesis and Phil Collins among other artists. The show was new for us here in the USA, but had aired originally in the UK several months back.

The show also featured footage of the Clinic Model at the unveiling, and chassis #003, the 'K4 MCL' plated car alongside GTR #01R, the Ueno Clinic livereied LeMans winner. I wish they had showed more footage of the car in those turns than Tiff's facial expressions, but it was still entertaining.

When It starts to dwindel I ll take a 20 min trip an the flame lights again I never get tird of seein a car like that. Theres always that moos ur in when u first see it like omg but you try and act calm and cool but by the end of it the kid in you is out and on the lose.

I was really upset because I thought that I had missed the video when it originally aired on Speed, but luckily they showed it again this past Saturday and yes Tiff did say it was and my be the best ever. I believe that the grin on Tiff's face was just about as big as Grinnos - it was quite a ride. I only hope that someone captures the video and posts it on the net.

Thanks for the link. I will have to agree with the post just above me. The server is soooo slow that I will need to wait until this weekend. I have downloaded many files, but not many as slow as that one. I have an extemely fast connection and don't have much patience with slow servers. I very much appreciate the post .
