More on starting problems

I've read all the treads on starting and I still have a little trouble with mine. At 86K miles I started getting a stumble and some missing so I changed the plugs, and yes I used the proper plugs as suggested in this forum and checked the gap at 50 thousands. Most of the stumble was cured but I still felt it wasn't quite right so I changed the wires with the best I could find. That completely cured the problem and once again she ran great but then I started to have the slow to start situation that has been reported here. I needed to take it in for the fuel rail so I hoped that that would correct it but to no avail, and yes, they installed a new FPPR.
It actually seems to start faster after it's been sitting for awhile. If the engine is warm it will crank for a few seconds and then start on a few cylinders before all kick it. I"ve even tried depressing the accelerator slightly and sometimes that will make it start faster. If I didn't know better, I'd think it is vapor locked.
I've also tried to turn on the key so the fuel pump would have time to come up to preasure if it needed to and that has no effect.

Hello:

Have your mechanic check out to see if you have any codes calling out for the crank sensors. One or both maybe going out.

This would be the main reason for a hard start other than fuel issues.

When you turn the key to the run position before starting I think it only runs the fuel pump for a set amount of time. If the pump is going bad and it leaked the fuel back out it might not be long enough to get it all back up to par before it shuts off again. A fuel pressure test at a garage should be easy and cheap to do to see if that is the issue.
