ATTN: Experienced Box Builders/Planners
I am looking to build a new box for my subs. I currrently have 2 15" MTX Thunder6000 subs. I want the new box to be ported. I also need to fit it in a smaller trunk. *My current box is sealed and was built to small, but my trunk still has more room to deal with* I heard of this box stuffing that would allow a smaller box to sound identical to a larger box. I am willing to do that if the rumor is true. So my question is can anyone provide me with box plans? I cant go to a pro shop cause i dont have lots of cash, or cant buy a premaid for same reason. So if you make me plans, I could send you Reputation points, and a big warm thank you.
Thanks ahead of time. |

Re: ATTN: Experienced Box Builders/Planners
The stuffing you are refering to is called polyfill and only makes a small difference. Not enough to make real box size changes. You are going to have a problem since the opening of your trunk is not very big. There is no such thing as a magic box. If you want ported you will have to use the specs provided by MTX and figure out how to make it fit in your car. If it does not fit then you should go another route...if you want the most out of your subs.
