I bought a new door handle assy. for $70 at the dealer. They are easy to install. You might be able to find one at a salvage yard, but they are made of pot metal so the salvaged handles might be just as bad as the one you are replacing.

How did your handle break?
A couple of years ago on my 94 the cam that transfers the motion of the door handle to the door latch fell off. The cast post that the cam pivots on broke at its base. Fished the cam, washer and broken post out of the bottom of the door, drilled and tapped the body of the door handle where the post was to accept bolt. Bolted it back together with some locktite. Be careful, not a lot of metal to work with Cost: almost $0 |

I know that the handles can be purchased via special order at mass retailers such as Kragen Auto, but I had a similar problem and just bought one at the dealer, I think it cost me about $50. It is true that it is made of 'pot metal'...ridiculous....I guess they expect everyone to open and close their doors exclusively via the remote control.... Stuart1003 |
