overhauling motor

I am looking for parts to overhaul my car. does anybody know where i could find them. places in the town i live dont have them. and i am also needing a exhaust manifold its for a 90 honda civic 1.6 5-speed

any good parts store should sell a rebuild kit, may have to order it but they should carry it.

places to find parts. grab a phone book and hits the local or near local junk/slavage yards = they can be a gold mine to many people. the other option is oart staores in your area, im a little shocked you didnt say i dont want to wait for shipping = the part sotres where im at can bring anything in for me (except an entire parts car of course). hey, you could hit ebay and forums. automotiveforums does have a forsale section = check it out!


what kind of car did you get that house your 16 valve 1.6 motor?

should i even waste my time overhauling it or just get a new motor for it? i can get a v tech for thousand with a transmission.

if you can afford it go with the vtec motor do you know what kind of motor it is though cause you may be in for alot of work

the dude i am getting it from says it should fit fine. he says that it should be a perfect fit but i would have to get a new wireing harness because my year of car is not set up for a v tech.

you would need to do some work to fit wiring ask him for a motor code. cause it may or may not be a good deal is it coming with all stuff tranny ECU etc etc?

yeah it is coming with tran. what about crate motor from japan anybody know about them and if they are good or not
