How do I get to the battery?

I'm trying to install an aftermarket neon lightstring. I've got everything in place and realized I can't find an easy way through the firewall to run a wire to the battery. I'm working on a 1995 Grand Am SE. Any suggestions? At least some help on the best place to drill through would be great. Thanks.

Re: How do I get to the battery?

That's kewl. Not quite the effect I have in mind though. Some other info I should have mentioned. I have it all hooked to a switch so I can turn the neon on and off at will AND I've tried going to the fuse box but it needs too much power apparently and it keeps blowing the fuse I've got it going through.

Re: How do I get to the battery?

hard wire it if the kit comes with a module to turn it on and off , the module changes the power to what it needs. I also noticed that alot of these kits dont come with instructions. Theres 2-3-4 ways through the bulk head (firewall) look where your pedals go through , the steering rod and theres also a good spot where wires go through it too , the spots have rubber sealers that pop out or in , you wanna pullem in so you pop them back on when you put the wires through ( theres plenty of play around the rubber or even through the rubber. If you wanna get deeper into it look first and ask more questions , i am curently active in re wiring some stuff on my car and thats the route im takin.
