No fuel to engine
My 1992 Golf will not start. The fuel pump relay does not pull in. If the relay is bypassed, the engine starts and seems to run pretty well. I have 12 volts to the coil of the relay when the ignition is turned on but the relay does not pull in. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Re: No fuel to engine
Try a new relay, they're inexpensive and an easy first fix attempt.

Re: No fuel to engine
I found the problem. Someone had installed a switch in series with the coil of the fuel relay, I guess as a crude anti theft device. Turning the siwtch on fixed the problem.
