Unhappy 2001 Tahoe blues

Hi,
I've read most of the recent threads relating to the newer Tahoe and have experienced all of the same problems with my 2001 Tahoe. What I like to know is that does anybody feel that the ABS is to sensitive. I have noticed that the ABS action has kicked in on only slight slipage of the front wheels. This then seems to me IMO that it will take a longer distance to stop for a surface that really is not going to cause the brakes to lock up in the first place. I can repeat this time after time when I go over a certain railroad track. Anybody else experienced this?
Thanks,
Tim

You might need to clean/check your wheel speed sensors. Though I have noticed the same thing on mine occasionally when hitting a low manhole cover or other bump. I assume sometime as it bounces the wheel locks up for a split second and the ABS senses that and kicks in.
