Overhead console??

In my 97 cherokee sport there's a small plastic cover about 4"x2" held on to the headliner using two screws. Behind this cover is a circuit board. Anybody know what this circuit board is for? I do not have an overhead console.

Think you'll find this is the module for the remote (keyless entry) The module houses the IR (infrared Red) reciever and decoder.
