Just got an 02 maxima se....

the sad story is, that i traded in my 02 mercedes C32 AMG, 349-hp needed more room, save some $$$, and still have a sporty, good-looking car, with decent power...

i was on the wait list a yr and a half

for the 02 C32. They only send 1,000 units to the US each year. Its a supercharged V6 engine, with 349-HP, 332 lb-ft of torque. I had a brilliant silver w/charcoal interior. a beautiful car... speed governor at 155 mph top speed, but you can remove the governor and it will top out at 180+. 0-60 times in the 4.6-4.9 second range, stock!

the driveout price was almost $60K with ttl.

funny thing is, i traded it in to a Nissan dealer. "downgraded" almost 100-HP to the SE, but did get it at invoice and 3.9% financing. Black, Leather, Meridian, Traction Control, Bose...only thing i didnt get was the NAV system...

Definitely a nice step down but the maxima holds it ground as well rounded sport sedan. Good choice nice ride.

Sorry to hear the Benz had to go. But the new Max should ease a little of the pain. I wiped down my '02 over the weekend with some Quick Detailer and am amazed at the panel fit and paint quality (it's perfect), like a Benz or BMW. I remember my '96 Mustang GT had numerous imperfections fresh from the factory.

Speaking of superchargers, I am seeing that the Vortech / Stillen kit is a mess for the $4,000.00 they charge for it. Does anyone have any real experience with this kit or are there any other blower kits out there. Someone ought to have a roots type system integrated into the manifold similar to SVT's Lightening system?
