Pcm Code Question (p0171)

Hi, yestarday in the morning the SES light come on, and until today in the morning it goes off again. The car was scanned and a P0171 Code was found...

P0171 - FUEL TRIM LEAN

What that mind?, what i need to check or replace?... My car feels good... I was thinking maybe a fuel resistor or bad fuel?...

It looks like you have a fuel problem....

Yes but what kind of fuel problem... dirty fuel filter?...

The pcm only display "FUEL TRIM LEAN" text, not bank 1 or anything more...

It means your engine is running lean...ie fuel problem...that is all anyone could tell you from that code....The code is coming from your first O2 sensor (hence the bank 1)

I would start with the fuel filter...clean the Injectors....check the pump....etc, etc, etc

after thinking about this it could also mean your 1st O2 sensor is out!
