body kit question

I recently bought a silver '01 jetta, and would like to make it look a little different from the hundreds of other jettas on the road so im thinking about installing a body kit...my question is how much would this cost and is it possible (as a first timer) to install it myself?
also where are some good, reliable sources for body kits on jettas
