How can I get my 96 Eclipse to look like a 99 Eclipse?
Hey guys. I wanted to know what I have to get in order to make my 96 Eclipse GS-T to look like the 99 Eclipse (the one without the 'smiley' bumper). Any info would be greatly appreciated...

To do the full conversion, you'll need a 97-99 front bumper and headlights, 97-99 rear bumper and reverse lights, and since it's a turbo car you'll need the turbo spoiler. Have fun.

I just want to really change the front bumper and headlights only. Do you know what the price range for it is?

It depends on where you are buying it from. Your best bet is a junkyard, or you can look on www.dsmtuners.com in the classifieds. I'm not sure exactly of the price range, but usually the front bumper is around $100, not too sure about the headlights though.

Hey, I'm offended! What's wrong with the smiley bumper
? Gee, if I had a stock GS-T, the 97 conversion would not be the way I would spend my first $250 (or more...)! |

surf www.craigslist.org and e-bay. I come accross used front bumpers and stock 97-99 headlights everyday. finding them should be no biggie.

Hey, all I want is the bumper like on Shpyder's car (See his picture). Would I have to change the headlights on it too? Or do you think the ones I have could stay on?

Re: How can I get my 96 Eclipse to look like a 99 Eclipse?
If you searched, you would know all of this.
You have to get the headlights, because they are a different size. They bolt on the same. Don't forget 97 sideskirts, as I believe those are different too. It's going to cost way more than $250, and you can get the body pieces all over the place. DSMtrader, ebay, DSMtuners classifieds, local junkyards, maybe mitsubishigraveyard.com, etc. |

Re: How can I get my 96 Eclipse to look like a 99 Eclipse?
Have you not caught the hints yet?
1. Get on e-bay and start searching for 97-99 Eclipse headlights. When you find a set of headlights listed I'm more then positive they will have a price on them. 2. Call or visit your local junkyard and ask. 3. Call dealership and ask for a quote on those headlights. After getting done laughing at their quote, place bid on e-bay for headlights.

I would say $1000 because you may have to paint. I got my bumper from aemporium.com for about 170 bucks.
Get everything else from ebay because the dealer will run you a good 300 bucks for the headlights.
