2004 Sunfire Stock Radio Help

Hello, i am new to these forums and hopefully you can help me. I have just purchased a 2004 Pontiac Sunfire.

In my old car (91 plymouth sundance) i put over $1500 into a sound system. And now i want to transfer it all to my new car.

I have already did everything, and this morning went to the back of the stock radio to put in the RCA wires and the Remote Wire. and was unable to find a slot.

PLEASE help i have been trying for hours to figure it out.

The stock radio Has a MP3 Player, And XM Radio on it. If anyone knows ways to hook up a system to the stock radio please help me. I asked one of my frineds before i got the car and he said you can still install it.. (if i wasnt goin to be able to i wouldnt have spent the extra money on XM and the MP3 Player).. Please help

You'll need to buy yourself a line-out converter to convert your speaker levels from the factory HU to line level (RCA connectors). You should be able to find them at any audio shop, including the big guys like Best Buy, Circuit City or Future Shop for about $15. There won't be an ACC wire behind your stock radio, so you could either run it to a constant 12V wire (orange) and install an inline switch (and hope you never forget to shut the amps off when you leave the car), or you could dig under the dash, or at the ignition switch for the proper ACC wire.

Re: 2004 Sunfire Stock Radio Help

you can get a line convertor at Walmart in the Auto section, or have your shop install it for you since it sounds like you had it all done before to me. (not flaming, just an observation, sorry if it's not true)
