EVAP canister purge volume control valve

Hi. I am popping an error code 10-8
EVAP canister purge volume control valve
I believe it's the valve on the evap canister behind the left rear wheel.
I think I had it before, and I sprayed some WD-40 into it and it went away. Now I have it again. I sprayed WD-40 into it, and reset computer, but now it popped back again. Any other ideas for getting that sucker fixed? I gotta take smog check, and they are saying CEL=automatic fail. So I gotta fix it or reset the computer and hope the CEL won't come up during the test. Also, I was trying to disconnect the valve, but couldn't figure out how to unhook the electrical connector.
