Runs, but will not move?

The front of my apartment building often floods. The water was getting high so I moved my 93' Tercel through the water into a dry area. This is my second car. So a week later I go to move the car. It starts up and runs fine, however, it will not move. Something is locked up or jammed. It seems like it is a problem with the rear wheels. The emergency brake still feels fine when I pull and release it and there is nothing under the car that might hold it back. I can't think of anything else. Does anyone out there have any ideas?? It is a 4 speed manual.

They are cleaning the streets tomorrow so I am going to get a ticket! That sucks.

the calipers may be seized due to the water they may have seized to the discs you might want to check that. it will have the same effect as having the handbrake on.

Re: Runs, but will not move?

I was able to move it yesterday, the brakes sounded like they were rubbing though. I drove it around for a few minutes and then it seemed fine. If I do nothing is it potentially dangerous or is something probably damaged. I recently got a newer car and will be selling this one. I don't want to sell it if it is dangerous. thanks.
