Re: exhaust manifold help

bro u can heat styrene off the tree that holds tha parts by getting some boiling water and putting the styrene in 4 a while till you can bend it 2 shape turbos and exauhst headers/manifolds. Thats what i did on my revell civic/integra kits. Or you can put holes in tha engine block and use superglue 2 hold 4/6 or 8 lengths of solder. Once the glue has set the solder in the block you can bend the solder 2 the shape youre after and then put a snail on tha side if you want. If your working with styrene its always best 2 fill the gaps with a modeling putty substance aswell. Thats the way Ive done alot of my work but im not that experienced and there are many different ways 2 make exaust accesories on a smaller 1/24 scale. Good luck bro.

If you don't like to heat things up you can use solder of the right thickness and just keep bending 'til it fits in place. No risk of getting half way and then it cools and wan't bend 'til you heat it again. This is how I made new headers for a Fujimi Lancia Stratos, easy work and it looks good to. Just glue the pieces together with super glue and you will be fine. I drilled holes in the cylinder heads and just pushed the new pieces in and started bending according to the original pieces. Look at SkylineFan's headers ( http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=261106 )and you'll get a clue to what to do. It's similar to what I did.

Re: exhaust manifold help

not going to help you "build" them but here is an exhaust manifold/header/turbo manifold reference thread. Should give you some good inspiration for design, color, etc..

edit: nice headers by the way proosen!
