Advice on a 94 Taurus Wagon LX

Advice on a 94 Taurus Wagon LX:

Has 135k w/ a v6 3.8l, the body is okay but the paint it chipped, etc. normal wear and tear.

The buyer wants $1,500 but I was thinking more around $500 since I now another guy that will had a similar one for sale for about $500.

Can I get some advice on a fair price and also how are these higher wagons holding up? Are there any tranny problems?

Was his repsonse an egnigma to you too?

Do these things tend to have any tranny problems? It's got like brand new tires on it too and was used by an older gentleman who took care of it. I did a under the hood check and bout the only thing that I could tell it needed was to replace a few hoses.
