Inner Door handle
On my 94 explorer xlt the passenger side rear door wont open from the inside have to open it from outside the inner handle isnt returning all the way in ethier like it looks like its partially open as if it were being pulled on any ideas on what this is? and is it hard to fix myself im pretty good but i havent done any lock or handle related items yet

Woah, freaky. I'm having the exact same problem with the exact same year and model. The only thing I could think of is that its jammed inside the door, but I can't figure out how to get the inner door panel off.

95 ford explore rear door handles
there is a lot of tension on the handle it self. And what ends up happening is the little plastic lever that pulls the rod breaks. I was cheap and went to the wrecking yard but ended up replacing both doors 6 months later. Get new ones from ford about $20 bucks. To take the panel off you have two philips screws under the grag handle and the get a panle tool or big screw driver and pry around the edge of the panel close to the plastic rivits. pull the panel up over the door lock. 2 more screws on the handle itself. rod has S shape end so just turn handle and slide it off.

oops replaced both door handle 6 month later not the whole doors
