which Type-S upgrades to get?
I just bought a brand new RSX Type-S and i want to put performance parts in it but i still want it to look the same. I also dont want to spend to much money but i want quality parts, that will actually work good. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.

How much are you wanting to spend?

Re: which Type-S upgrades to get?
Wowza, yet again.
You need to give more info. Turbo? Supercharger? NOS? NA? Emmissions Testing, does it matter (probably does)? Cost? Daily driveability/practicality? |

Re: which Type-S upgrades to get?
start with the suspension...but find out what you want to do 1st...
lets say u want to go turbo in the future...then it'd be a waste of money to get a cat back and a cai... figure out what u want to do then ask questions

Re: which Type-S upgrades to get?
Yeah, what he said. With a turbo you can't do headers or CAI or a few others, so you need to decide which path you are going to take and about how much total are you willing to spend.

I believe this is the part where you respond, Aj.

For under $2000 you can get the following:
SRI or CAI - $85-260 Hondata4 - $500 Headers - ~$200? Sway bars - ~$200-300? Strut bars - ~$100-450 Better tires - ~ $400 Lowering springs/struts - up to $1-2k range Limited slip differential - up to $1k New clutch/flywheel - ~$1k Big break kit - $1-2k (need bigger wheels for this so price will ultimately be over $2k) There's a lot you can do under $2k. You do need to decide which way you're going because if you turbo the SRI/CAI, headers, and Hondata4 flash will be useless like crazy said. Crazy and others, correct my ranges if they seem wrong or just way off!

Re: which Type-S upgrades to get?
First, you're gonna want to punch speed holes in the hood to make the car go faster...

Re: which Type-S upgrades to get?
comptech is the way to go on the performance parts for a type s. it also depends on how far you are going to go with the car. little expensive but well worth it. for the computer Hondata is a good one to go with as far as tunning options go they are very open on the hondata

Re: which Type-S upgrades to get?
Comptech isn't the way to go. Their Icebox's gains are below par and their S/C is taking forever.
