Angry

Hi, I did the same thing, I bought a factory CD off Ebay for my '04 Silverado and yes the only way I could get it working (UNLOCKED) is to bring it to the dealership....I was pissed off, I installed it myself in about 15 mintues and they reprogrammed it in about 10 mintues and still charged me $100 CDN. On top of that the CD player is crap and makes weird noises and the speakers sound like crap. There is no warranty on the factory sound anymore either. My advice is buy a new Pioneer or something and buy the special wiring harness for GM's so you dont lose the door chimes( if that matters ) it will be a better deck and get better sound in the long run. This truck was my first brand new vehicle and will be my last POS Chevy i'll ever buy......
