TPS Adjustment
Hi guys, this is my first post,I hope you can help me. I have a 1994 Nissan pick up 4X4, 3.0 motor. My truck keeps going in and out of overdrive, I could have the cruse set on 65 and everything is find the trucks in overdrive about 2500 RPM then I`ll start to go down a little hill and the truck will downshift and jump up to about 3700 RPM, then once it starts to accelerate it goes back in overdrive and 2500 RPM again, till I start to go down hill then she`ll downshift again. It`s not just at 65 MPH but anytime I`m in overdrive it will go in and out. Any ideas whats wrong with my truck?
Thanks Joe |

Re: TPS Adjustment
The problem probably isn't your TBS. It's most likely in the cruise control itself. It could possibily be a vacuum leak, if you have that sort of system, if not, a weak ground can cause the same problem.
A good auto manual can tell you how to set your TPS. |
