ASD automatic shutdown relay
I need some quick help. I have a 1989 Dodge Caravan 2.5, it has been sitting for a few fears. When we parked it, it was running, just a bad starter ( I was told it was a bad fly wheel ). When I decided to try to start it or junk it, I found several wires bad, I think they are all fixed.
Now I get a code 11, 22 and 22. (12 and 22 I think I can ignore for the moment. 11 should set the asr according to the Haynes manual. They just don't say what to do about it. I'm thinking another bad wire; but which one? The diagram doesn't help much, the copy I have just gives "Typical" diagrams, better than nothing; but just enough to get you iratated! |

Re: ASD automatic shutdown relay
The pick-up in the distributor has gone bad. That's where the asr gets it's signal. Also make sure chopper is not rusted or touching pick-up.
