Full Tank
Ok can somebody please explain this to me. Why is it that when you full up a full tank and as your pulling out of the gas station your car is so smooth and when your shifting gears like even if its a crappy shift your car just feels smooth no matter what. Then when you drive around for a bit it goes back to normal like not as smooth even if your tank is 75% full why does it only do that smoothness (you will know what im talking about) right after you fill up fully?

Re: Full Tank
uhh... ok
only smooth i can think of is full tank of gas doesnt "slosh" around in the tank like a 1/4 full tank does..tank ![]() i drive a firetruck daily with half full tanks of water on the back of them. the entire vehicle kicks back at you when i switch gears because the water is waving back and forth...tank

Re: Full Tank
The only thing that comes to my mind is that the fuel you just put in is colder from being underground and colder fuel burns better.
A friend of mine..old timer hotrodder... had a trick for his cars where the fuel line was modded into a coil going into a bucket with ice right before he dragged and the HP gain was very noticeable... kinda the same thing with a good intercooler...the cooler the air/gas the more dense it is. That might be it Does the car act the same if you went home and the car sat for few hours or a day and then drive it? or is it just when you leave the pumps?
