Header or Cams. He might also want to start looking into suspension mods.

Cam gears aren't gonna do you any good on the stock cams, and i wouldn't swap your ecu unless you could get it on a dyno; which would be pointless at the moment with only two bolt ons.

Re: help with a 93 lude vtec

ok so header and cam/cam gears anything else and he doesnt care for chips unless they are making like 20+ whp.but for a header whats the best for 500 and under and can u get a set of cams for under 500?i thought they were more like 1000 and cam gears hes thinking of right now and retard and advance the timing to get a little better power.is there anything really else besides like goin turbo?cuz see i own a mitsubishi and i put like 300 bucks in and get like 40 hp so i mean i know honda is like that so whats like the biggest bang for the buck?

You can get a Greddy header for a little less than 500. A set skunk2 stage 2 cams will run you a little less than 700 if you search around for a good place. Those cams will run you 12+whp throughout a now broader powerband. But please note, you have to upgrade your valvetrain to run the stage2's. If he's not ready for that type of work, the stage1's work ok with stock valvetrain.
