A few quickies (including my girlfriend)

I was cruising down I94 at about 80-85mph and I saw this Jaguar S type closing onto me pretty quickly. By juding the race, I guess it was a 2002ish V8.

I slowed down to 75 and moved over to the right. As he was trying to pass me, I sped up a little and he got the hint. He stomped it and so did I. He got a little headstart but I made that up pretty quickly. From about 90 to 140mph we were dead even, and I slowed down because there was traffic.

Wow, I would have never gone THAT fast if I had known that I was going that fast. I was looking at the RPMS and make the shifts and as I looked over it said 140 so I slowed down.

The guy kept on speeding, but I slowed back down to 80.

Then this new Mazda 3 hatchback was speeding up behind me just like the Jaguar did at first. I let him pass me and as he was passing me at about 100mph, I stayed right on him. He moved to the right and I passed him and he got behind me. I stomped it and he did too, I moved away from him fairly quickly and he took the next exit as I was slowing down.

I was REALLY impressed with that Mazda. Those little 2.3L 4 cylinder 160 hp engines make really nice power.

And lastly, I was going to dinner with my girlfriend. The light in front of me was turning red and there was a car in the right lane and I saw a Camaro with a custom hood behind me. I sped up and passed the guy in the right lane and moved over. I stopped way before the line to see what it was and I saw the SS. It was the newest generation camaro (LS1??) Looked at my girlfriend and said "that guy would rape me" and turned the VSA off. She said, are you gay? J/K. I eased off the line and slowly accelerated as did he. I was a car length ahead of him going about 40 when all of the sudden I hear his loud ass engine and a little chirp. As he's passing me I gun it. He's about a car lenght in front of me and we stay like this til about 70 and I slow down because there was a red light in front of us. As I'm making my stop the light turns green and he nails it. I slowly ease off the lane and slowly accelerate to 45 as he's making a fool of himself. (I know my limits, and I wasn't gonna race this guy in front of my girlfriend from a stop with my FWD car) I could see that guy going "wtf is that thing doing keeping up with me" when we had that little run. I bet he thought he'd whoop my ass but barely beat me.

This J32A2 is the only SOHC vtec engine where you can actually hear and feel the vtec from a block away.

That's ok, I bet he doesn't have heated leather seats and heated rear view mirrors.

I came to the conclusion that this car woluld be a riot with some mods.

260/232

With I/H/ and turbo...A guy was putting out 435 - 370 to the wheels.

The header alone adds about 30-40 whp

Mine is bone stock, just got some shocks and springs and a new navigation DVD

lol, it's a navigation DVD.

Here's a vid of the guy with the 370 whp car.

http://www.flwse.com/images/steve/Ra...o_vs_Stock.mpg

The car with the camera is a totally stock CL type S. Keep in mind, that one has 260 hp. Stock for stock, it's about as fast as a E36 M3 or a 04 G35.

Now look what the other CL type S does to it with the turbo. Pretty impressive for a luxury car. I know it doesn't sound like a luxury car in that video, but I can't hear my engine at all unless im in VTEC.

OH yeah, the guy with the camera has a CAI and is driving as fast as he can. They're both 6 speeds

Re: A few quickies (including my girlfriend)

cool video
does a header really add 30-40 whp???????
my uncle owns a 96 nsx and replaced the stock header with a comptech header and he barely got 15 to the wheels
sounds fishy, because the ca is N/A
now if you said a straight pipe in a supra or VR4 adds 30-40 whp, now that's more beleivable

If a header costs $1000 and an intake $300, you better get something for it!

Those are average numbers. So on average, a header will give you 27 whp, considering the 20% loss, that's about 33hp.

An Intake (IceBox) will give you 17 hp, so about 14whp.

If you go to www.acura-cl.com you'll find out that a lot of people gain well over 30 hp at the wheels with just the header.

And the car with the camera is a mid 14 second car.

Yeah, pretty sad when people try to talk but they have no idea what's going on.

ohhh damir look at the sport compact car issue with the cl type s and realize that your so called header would not add that much hp cause if it did the final dyno notes on their test with their supercharged cl would be way higher.

Real people with real numbers. That's the best way to research aftermarket parts.
