Question Air bag sensors

Does anyone know where all the air bag sensors are located at in the '94-'97 model Accords? 4 doors specifically. The 2 and 4 doors are probably the same so any info will help. My bags deployed in a crash and I replaced them with a set I bought off of ebay recently. The seller provided me with all the controls and sensors and I just need to know where the two round sensors go. He told me they go on the passenger side under the carpet near the bottom of the dash, but I can find nothing there but what appears to be the computer and some other control module underneath a sheetmetal cover.

Anybody know where they go or where I might find this information? Manuals like the ones produced by Hayes, etc. have little info on the airbag systems. I'd like to replace them before I take the car to a Honda dealer to have the computer reset for the bags.

Thanks for any help anyone might be able to offer!

Re: Air bag sensors

hey search on cb7tuner.com to find out how to reset the module yourself - but i do belive you need to replace your module also (behind the center console)

only the 94 has external sensors for the SRS then are mounted on the floorboard if you pull the carpet back you just follow the split loom if you have a 95 or 96-97 all the sensors are in the SRS computer mounted in the center console behind the radio if your bags deployed you have to replace the computer as it will throw a hard code 10 if i recall and cannot be reset

oops i didn't read that post good enough if the kit you bought from ebay has sensors with it thats for a 94 accord only and the sensors install in the floor board one is by the gas pedal under the carpet if you have a 95 then your bags will plug in ok but your computer won't as 95 doesn't have external sensors everything in in the computer if you have a 96-97 your bags will have diffrent plugs and a diffrent computer also

Hey Thanks Stereo! What do you mean by a hard core ten? I have a '95 and have installed the new used bags, but have not plugged the SRS fuse back in. I was afraid the bags would blow if I do without having the system reset first. My local Honda dealer claims it can be reset for the sum of 82.50 plus tax. They didn't say anything about replacing the computer, though, only that they usually replace the sensors along with the bags. Of course, mine has no external sensors, as I have discovered. Should I risk plugging the fuse back in to see what happens? Somebody else told me it will reset itself as long as the computer did not damage itself upon bag deployment.

my bad it ment hard code, when you get code 10 airbags deployed you cannot reset it on my 94 that came with the external sensors didn't need to be reset as i replaced the airbags and the light just went out but i'm pretty sure you cannot reset the computer on the 95+ once the airbags have deployed at the end user level (i've tryed) the code never clears and has to be replaced
