No its not, all cars of any country have chassis codes. Your chassis code is located after the first 3 letters of your vin.

For example, my prelude is a BB1, and the 5th gen preludes are BB6's. The latest Si's are EP3's and RSX's are DC5's.

Its really nothing more than a flashy technical name for your car. If you've ever heard of Initial D, they refer to all cars by their chassis codes.

Right it's on your VIN right on your dash at the corner of your driver's side windshield.

Funny, I checked the chassis code. EF1 is after 3 letter. Wonder! EF1 seems the 4th gen civic chassis. I have 7th gen civic!!

I'm actually born in the US and still living in California, but my hometown in the Philippines is in San Jose, Nueva Ecija. The last time i've gone back to the Philippines was the summer of 01.

As for your car; If it has the K20, i would assume that USDM Civic Si and/or RSX Base parts will fit with little to no modification.

I still can't figure out why your chassis code is EF1 though

I don't think he swapped it. It supposedly came with the car from the factory.
