looking at a 1g rx7
there's a 1982 rx7 for sale near where i live. it sounds like the last owner (2 years ago) took great care of it. the current owners live on a farm and have only driven it about 4k miles! apparently, the kid with the car is about 6'1" and doesn't really like manual transmissions...
the kicker is that the motor was replaced about 20k miles ago with a fuel injected model, and it has a new interior (as of about 2 years ago). they're asking $3k for it, but i don't think they know much about the car, how much should i offer? i'm thinking that i could start out at $2k CASH on the spot. i want it because i need a new daily driver, my saturn's tq converter sounds like it's dying. let me know what you all think. |

Re: looking at a 1g rx7
3k$ is a big amount of money for a 1st gen rx7
its better be clean. try to have them do a compression test. |

Re: looking at a 1g rx7
i'm hoping that the clutch is slipping, or something silly like that, that way it will be easy to talk them down to 2k. if not... in theory the engine that went in was practically new
