Never been in that situation...
I've never been in the back of one for that reason, been in the front of one, and I also drove my parents alot before it gave up on us. Big old '88, you piloted that sucker, you didn't drive. But are they ever fun in dirt and snow. Get that back end sliding, and they will stay sideways as long as you want it to. And you can fit so many people in there too. And the sound of the engine is pretty good for a old family car. Ah, memories...

Yeah, remember doing donuts in the parking lot in front of those chicks from school? That was great fun. Good ol' Vic.

Our family used to be a Vic family - We started off with a 1981 Vic, then an 83, an 88, and then a 92 which got in an accident. I bought that 88 as a winter beater off them, drove it up to 330,000 klicks, then drove her into a tree so I had an excuse to yank the motor and tranny to sell it. Wound up driving her for free (except the gas and oil changes) after the sale of the motor and tranny
. Man she was fun though - tough as nails. I had that sucker hitting stones, side swiping trees, smashing old fence posts, and tooling up and down that mud path to get to that old abandoned area. I loved that Vic so much, and detested the Chrysler Concord my parents bought to replace the 92 Vic that got smashed - I bought a Mercury Grand Marquis LS for my daily driver . I for one am glad that you guys actually like the Vix's. |

Re: Its been a while!!!!
My mom had a 1989 vic with only 60k miles and a guy ran a stop sign a hit her on the driver side rear section. broke the tail light and dented in fender. Insurance said it was totalled so I bought it from her. I LOVE THIS CAR.

Re: Its been a while!!!!
Have owned 3 Crown Vic's, they are truely tanks that glide over the road like a boat on water! I took my first and Favorite CV on a dirtbike mogul, didn't know a car could bounce like that and keep moving, blasted it through a foot deep puddle with out incident, used it to knock over a stuborn tree trunk in my parents yard, and then ran it halfway through a station wagon and then drove it home where it finally sputtered its last breath and passed away... how can you not love a car like that??????
