wiring interior neons

how would you go about wiring neons where you dont have to plug them into the cigarette lighter. can you put them on a switch or something like that? just some info please

get a switch, itll have three terminals that say power accessory and ground
bring in a power wire from the battery, throught the firewall, then solder that wire to the power terminal, then the neons to the accessory terminal, and get a good ground location and wire that to the ground terminal and the neons themselves will need to be grounded too

got to walmart, i saw a few switches in their auto section but you could go to maybe radio shack or something you can get a switch with a little led in it, get one to match ur neons

make sure you get a fuse too, or else youll blow your neons, unless it already has a fuse in it
