99 Sable Power Door Locks

I'm having a problem with the power door locks. When you press the button on either front door to lock or unlock all four doors they don't lock. You can hear the mechanism in the doors doing something and you can even see the door lock stems trying to move up and down, but none of the doors actually lock or unlock, except the rear passenger door.
