Non-buffing rubbing compounds

I use Scratch X to polish my models. It works well but I hate buffing it off. Are there any good Non buffing compounds out there besides Tamiya?

Hasegawa Ceramic Compound and Coating Polymer. Pretty expensive though. But they work great.

Cheers

I don't have any of that at my LHS. I was aiming more towards automotive stuff.

As I mentioned before, I'm looking towards automotive stuff. I don't want to wait 3 weeks just for some compound and wax. Sorry if I seem pissed but I'm just sick of buffing.

Pure Carnauba Wax.
I've tried all kinds of fancy polishing bits and pieces. But carnauba wax works as well as anything. Make sure you get one with no added silicants, cleaners or other rubbish. Smells good too

Man, I'm getting annoyed at the server busy messages

Me too. Last night (Saturday) I gave up and read a book instead.

I didn't know you could use that to polish. I got some of that at my house, but it doesn't smell good.

I just realized something guys. It's not the buffing I don't like, it's the consitency of the Scratch X I don't like. It's too much of a liquid consitency if you know what I mean. What rubbing compound is a little harder?

Re: Non-buffing rubbing compounds

I also use Scratch X and i'll have to agree with you on the substance...but it does smell good

and alternative would be Turtle Wax compound. I use this stuff for everything ranging from taking out scratches to removing "mess ups" on the paint. This stuff is awesome, except don't use it on white paint, or it will turn yellow...
