How to Reset Fuel Guage

Can anyone help.

I managed to fill up my Nissan Primera, at the petrol station
with out turning off the engine! *oops*.

And now my fuel gauge still shows the position it was
at before i started filling it up? ie at the "empy level"

Even though it should be showing it at the Full level
as i filled the tank up fully

I have tried turning the car off and on again, but this
does not help.

Has anyone got any ideas?

Thanks in Advance

hello, the best idea would be to disconnect the battery for a couple of mins, this will reset the memory of all the eclectronics and hopefully help with your fuel gauge readings.
