V-8 Accord
I have the parts and pieces to put together an engine and install it into a hatch-back. It wouldn't be a slapped-together, Monster Garaged piece of crap either.
Would all of you hard-core import guys frown on this kind of swap (since it would be conglomerating American and Japanese parts), or take it for what it is without being prejudice? I know that a Japanese V-8 would be the perfect match but I am trying to make use of parts already on hand. It would be a test (sort of). If I could pull this one off, I would scrounge up a Dodge Neon to make use for my old Hemi. Thanks for any input.

Could be done..................Its going to cost alot.
The closest thing your going to get in there without spending alot is a B series motors and an H22. The H22 is already a tight fit. The engine bay is a very tight fit. Theres alot of chasis and electrical components you have to re work around (thats not even including the mechanical aspect of it). Just to make room will be a challenge. Just imagine trying to stick an H22 into a ford fiesta. Ask yourself, "what would I have to do? Your better off trying to convert the hatch into an AWD. Actually, your better off not even trying.

It could be done. I member seein a 4th gen accord w/a chevy 350 on Ebay a while back. It was a street legal drag car.

Cash? That's not the problem, it wouldn't cost me very much. I can do all of my own fabricating and paint work. It's the clock on the wall that gets me. I work on so many other cars, It's hard to find time work on my own.
If I use my BMW V-12 (M-70), the firewall will have to be moved back and relocate the radiator, my small block 400 is shorter but it would be too heavy in the front. I have a choice between a Muncie 4-speed or a Mustang 5-speed. To complete the rear-drive, I have a Ford 9" or a Mopar 8.75. I have a 425 transaxle that would put everything behind the driver in a small package, then I could make use for the V-12, but the 400 would run way better. There's no doubt that having all the running gear in the rear would make for a wheelie machine. Check this out: http://www.ultimav12.ca and go to the video link. Sweet sound of a v-12.
