Towing Package - Help!

I am going crazy trying to get an answer to the simple question: "What items make up the towing package on the 1998 Venture?"

1st Dealer's Answer: Call Chevrolet.

Chevrolet's Ans: Call the dealer.

2nd Dealer's Ans: Swaybar-stablizer and engine oil cooler.

3rd Dealer's Ans: Just a hitch and wire harness! (I'm not joking ..an actual dealer told me this even after I proposed oil coolers, transmission oil cooler, air shocks, etc).

4th Dealer: Heavy duty Alternator and large capacity radiator.

Now, the www.Chevrolet.com site allows you to choose options to purchase a new van and for the 2005, it lists the towing package as: Heavy duty Alternator and large capacity Radiator.

BUT! When you go to the www.GMCanada.com site and pull up the optional towing package, it lists: touring suspension, heavy duty radiator, H.D. alternator, H.D. signal flasher, and transmission oil cooler.

Is there some who knows the REAL answer to this and can back it up?

There was a post somewhere that suggested it is the larger radiator which includes a larger transmission cooler (that must imply that the transmission cooler is within the radiator), and a water-cooled engine oil cooler.

I have a 99 silhouette with the trailering package. On the GM Canada website I found a page that lists the equipment,options, models for your vehile year. I printed it off, under trailering package, "it includes: 125 amp alternator, trailer wiring harness, heavy duty turn signal flasher, extra capacity engine oil cooler, heavy duty radiator and transmission oil cooler (requires Touring Suspension)". Touring suspension has automatic level control and accessory inflator kit, in other words air shocks.

The option code for my Silhouette is V92 for the trailering package. I had the dealer run a Vehilcle Build on thier computer using my VIN number as I bought it used and wanted to know for sure. In the hatch area on the driver side is the inflator and on the door lists the option codes your van is built with.

How do you know if you have the standard radiator, or the heavy-duty radiator??

I beleive the HD radiator always came with the built in ATF cooler. If you look straight down from the radiator, you should see some screw on fittings for the ATF cooler. I've also found some refereces online to two different types of radiators, one 5/8" thick and another 1" think. That may also be an indicator although measuring it might prove to be difficult.
